Apologies if this has been discussed before. I've noticed this pattern with a variety of situations (list below).

Where an individual just can't seem to figure out a particular skill or task, sometimes despite their best efforts. They are often met with mockery (even from adults), or aggression, a lack of empathy, or alienation, etc. And people that do excel at these things, don't seem to shy away from pointing out the other person's incompetence or lack of knowledge.

Below are some examples I've noticed.

  • Parents who have estranged children, but don't comprehend why that is.
  • Adults that somehow never learned to read.
  • People that are inexperienced in social skills.
  • Adults who don't know how to drive an automobile.
  • People who don't know how to dance.
  • People who just can't seem to get a romantic partner, despite their best efforts (incel/femcel).
  • Students who don't learn a particular subject as quickly as other students.

Do you see what I mean?
