I have always found myself to be most productive in the morning, and I prefer to start my day early. This includes going to the gym at 5 a.m. before work or waking up early on my days off to run errands or complete chores around the house. As a child, I would wake up at 7 a.m. on weekends to watch Saturday morning cartoons.

Hate mornings because I’ve got work looming. Much more productive afterwards even if I’m tired
I’m a night owl and embracing that at around 25 was the biggest quality of life upgrade I have ever made.
I prefer sleeping in, and am often most productive evenings and nights.
I hate waking up early and struggle to be productive before 10am. Then in the evenings, no matter how tired I’ve been all day, I get a burst of energy and motivation and don’t want to go to bed.
During weekdays, getting up early while doing some physical activities is the best. But in weekends, getting a long rest and waking up late is better.
Always been a night owl personally, but I can appreciate the allure of the early morning too.
I’m early around 6am head out to take dog for walk. Love the calmness of early mornings
I sleep 8 hours a day, but I work nights and am up all night and sleep when the sun comes up. Wouldn’t have it any other way.
I would prefer every now and then to sleep in but I am cursed with a natural 4-5 am alarm clock 💀
One positive aspect of that is how much I can get done with peace and quiet before most other people open their eyeballs
In my experience, people who do manual work tend to get up and go, leaving the later afternoon and evening free for fun stuff. People who do thinking jobs tend to start late and finish late and are too tired to enjoy anything in the evening.
I slowly converted from a night owl to a morning person. It started when I got a dog and solidified when I had kids. Now I wake up at 0415ish and hit the gym by 0530.
I’m way more functional later in the day. Although my jobs are usually around 10 a.m. Sometimes 8 or 9. Rare occasions even earlier.
I can “function” on four hours of sleep. Depends how the previous night was. But I generally need a decent amount of sleep. Most times more than eight hours.
I listen to my body and it now varies, life is much easier this way.
Used to be a night owl until 25, then understood my rythme and it changed my life.
Bed before midnight is crucial to recovery for me.
4x 90 min deep sleep cycles and I’m always up before 6AM.
No alarm clock, ever.
I get up every other day at 4:30 to do a 2.5 mile hike / jog. I struggle starting but once I’m done I’m glad I did.
Get up to leave for work (dayshift) – 0300
Get up to go duck hunting – 0230
Get up to go fishing 0400
Days off, no work, hunting, or fishing – kids wake up at 0700
There’s no sleeping in at my casa 😂
I like mornings, but I hate the waking up part.
Early morning. Up at 5am
I (48m), have always been a “nightowl”. I always get my best rest/sleep in the am.
Most of my recent jobs have been 2nd or overnight shifts. That works better for me as they often pay more.
I think it also might be a generational thing. My Step-father (70m), always want to do things early in the morning. It must be because that’s what you had to do before electricity was invented, LOL.
I’m not a farmer, so most things don’t need to be started at 6am.
I like starting my day early, work etc. But I do tend to train in the evenings – I’ve had several meals by then and can perform better. But! That’s not to say I don’t want to train early in the morning, if I can I will, but work commitments mean I start very early
