Hello all,

I’m a 27 year old dude, who’s been single for a few months.

Looking to expand my social circle, so I’ve been attending groups in my area on the MeetUp app, (specifically the Group is for 20-30 year olds in my City) and it’s been really fun!

Well… I’m going to a new event tonight, and the host is CUTE, definitely my type.

Last week, I had a question about the event for tonight, so I messaged her on the app. We made small talk for a bit, and she even commented that she loved my profile picture, (a selfie of me doing one of my hobbies,) and that we were excited to meet each other at tonight’s event.

Well the event is tonight from 7-9pm, planning on just being social/friendly with everyone, making new friends, asking for phone numbers to connect, especially hers.

After I get her number tonight, in about 2 days, I plan on texting her.

Is this too much/too weird?

“Hey (Her Name), I had a lot of fun at the Meetup the other day! It was great meeting you, hanging out with everyone.

If I’m being honest, I’d love to get to know you better.

Would you like to grab lunch/coffee, after my cruise? 🙂 “

For clarity’s sake, I’m going on a family cruise/vacation from August 22nd-September 6th, and I plan on working that into general conversation with three group.

“Anybody have any cool vacations coming up? Etc.”

Does the above text, seem A) appropriate, B) Clear enough that she knows I’m asking her out on a DATE?

Thanks all! 🙂 Excited for tonight, but nervous!
