I won't name any names, but conglomerates that buy up lots of local newspapers usually end up repurposing them as banner-ad sites with the occasional bit of news reporting. I note that our local rag has reporters names but do they exist – certainly attempts to email them received no answer? Do you gather news by just running social media scrapers and get AI to "write" the article or do these reporters actually hit the streets and dig for news?
