Hello,

I pertinent information. I am from the USA, with over 10 years of patient facing medical experience. I came to the UK to study and am hoping to get a job and stay here after graduation because I have no interest in going back to the states any time soon. I know the job markets are highly competitive so I knew my best shot likely would be applying for jobs with skills I have a lot of experience with. I sent out many applications for healthcare jobs and got my first offer for an interview at a hospital. I am looking for general advice on dos and don'ts of interviewing here so I do not make a stupid mistake and mess up this chance. Any advice is appreciated but one of the immediate things that come to mind is appearance, I am heavily tattooed, nothing offensive but should I try to cover them? I already intended to take out my facial piercings.

Side note, has anyone ever had their invitation to interview auto-accept on their behalf? I was going to take a day or two to think about it, because I have to travel a ways and I'm in a very chaotic final point of my degree so wanted to ensure I had the time to go, but and hour after I got the email invitation I got another email thanking me for accepting the interview offer. Not that I'm complaining, I really need a job so I was most likely going to find a way to make it work, just made me laugh that the choice was made for me.

Thanks for your time!
