Detroit: not a single match on dating apps over 2 months (even going out 30 miles), but the women are super easy to talk to in person. They don't even really care how well you're dressed.

Chicago: a seemingly endless supply of decent matches on dating apps (even when I'm lazy and only set my distance slider to 2 miles because I'm going to take two trains), but it's so difficult to strike up a conversation with anybody. And nobody has any time. I only match with doctors and lawyers it seems. Things feel just a bit superficial.

I think I just look better on paper to educated chicago women. But I enjoyed my time in detroit more because it feels more natural to meet people in person–I feel more invested and attached to them.

  1. which environment actually leads to better relationships for you? sometimes the harder to access people aren’t actually better partners, they’re just harder to access

  2. I mean, a little out of topic, but there is something similar in Brazil, asians are so popular over there but Americans/standard is not that much.

Idk just wanted to put this out there
