26F It’s disappointing for a girl that’s hopeful (yet discerning) when it comes to love because the guys I’ve been running into lately just enjoy having proximity to a beautiful woman, it validates their ego. They don’t offer depth or real intimacy. They’re leeches, they like the softness, femininity, attention, warmth but it’s not bc it’s you they like, it’s what you represent. Once I see the signs I immediately withdraw energy and all contact but I have feelings. It’s just annoying, anyways ik my person is out there, just venting bc I’ve been running into these kinds of men now more than ever and it’s tiring.

Edit: this is not the usual archetype I experience since that wasn’t clear.. though it is one I’m able to weed out with discernment. Just venting like I said.

  2. Are you meeting them in real life or on apps? 

    I think you should take a 6-month break from all dating apps if you’re on them. Makes a world of difference. 

    I also deleted all my social media besides youtube and Reddit and its been so freeing.

  4. I keep doing the same thing lol. I think I have an attachment to chasing after emotionally available men so perhaps it’s something to unpack in therapy

  6. Could be you’re just attracted to dudes with ego if you keep going on dates with them, and struggling that you don’t like their personality? Let’s be honest peacocks exist for a reason. They’re attractive
