I’m curious what everyone’s thoughts are on this.

If/when arguing with your SO (or anyone for that matter) and you are in your mind very clearly understanding and stating what the problems are, acknowledging the other person’s POV and they respond with “you’re missing the point”….. do we think that’s just a deflection tactic?

TLDR: My husband (M, 37) will say this to me (F 31)and I am genuinely bamboozled. I’ll often ask him to then please clarify what the point IS. And he’ll brush it off like “you don’t get it”.

How do you deal with a situation like this? I feel like I’m being gaslighted.
