i guess i never really thought about this until i went on the first date with my ex (over a year ago) and he kept flexing his tesla. he called my car “ok” and “acceptable for the current economy”. anyways we broke up some time ago unrelated to that, and i’ve been going on dates again.
maybe it’s the area i live in but a lot of guys i meet seem to have “flashy” cars like bmw, mercedes, audi, porsche, etc. they seem to make it their personality and sometimes make remarks similar to my ex like “oh that’s YOUR car?” even a guy with an old nissan sentra made fun of my car…but his excuse was “well i drive a shit car too”.
now i just feel totally insecure and feel the need to take out a loan to get a “better” car in order to date. i have extreme ocd so i don’t know if thats why i also feel so bad about it.
btw i have a 2019 honda :/ if anyone is wondering
