I’ll never date a messy girl again. I’m over teaching grown ups how to clean up after themselves. Telling a kid to pick up their toys before dinner makes sense because after dessert you can get them ready for bed without stepping on Lego’s. Telling a grown ass woman to put her dirty cloths in the basket, or to line your shoes up on the wall or put them in the closet so no one trips is nuts to me. If I’m not comfortable sitting on. Your couch or taking my shoes off in your place I’m completely over it. You shouldn’t gave to teach an adult these simple things.
I think the only gross one is him not rinsing his penis after peeing (obviously that can’t be helped if they use a public toilet and you’re outside), but he’s actually started doing it majority of the times at home. And before anyone comments about it, yes, I also rinse my crotch after every piss when I can. Some people will probably hate on this, but hey I’ve never had a UTI before.
The other one is him nor rinsing bottles or cans before throwing it in the recycling bin… Idk if it’s considered the norm for people to not rinse stuff out, but I always do it so the BIN DOESN’T GET NASTY!! I’ve talked to him about this a few times, and he has been trying – old habits don’t go away so quickly. But it’s improved to like half the time now.
Another one I can think of is him wearing shoes in the bathroom or on the gross bedroom carpeted floor, like if he wears shoes THEN decides he needs go pee, he just walks in with the shoes on… 😩 Rarely happens, but it’s still gross.
Other than that, he’s, thankfully, generally on the clean and hygienic side so we’re pretty chill. I’ll say I’m probably on the luckier side of things compared to other stories on reddit in general..
My wife hates cleaning… So I ended up cleaning everything myself because she just doesn’t care if the house gets messy. I do a rotation, one weekend cleaning kitchen and living room next bathroom and garden… I tried talking with her about that numerous times but all in vain

I should deal with it better. I comment on my partner’s gross habits, but they don’t change.
I can’t say anything…they are my parents nothing is gross what are you saying 😭

Tell them. Ask them to change if it’s seriously bothering me. If it’s a harmless lil thing like burping after a meal, I’ll laugh over it or ignore it.
I just tell him they’re gross and he apologizes or just doesn’t do it around me because he loves me✌️
You talk to them
I talk to him and we discuss how we can move forward. For example: I realized I can’t get him to sit down to pee, so now he has to clean the toilet every time with a disinfectant wipe. I started putting the wipes in the bathroom drawer instead of the cleaning supply closet we have to make things easier.
