do you find it sweet and romantic or not?

  1. Really dislike it. Nothing about it seems confortable or practical. But a beautiful breakfast set for me at the table? Bring it on. Just not in bed.

  2. I get why it sounds romantic and enjoyable in theory, but I’m not a breakfast person and don’t really want to eat in bed unless I’m feeling unwell and spending most of the day there anyway… so nah, not really my thing.

  3. I’m thinking of the falling crumbs so, its a no for me. Its not that even romantic 🤷🏻‍♀️

  4. i really don’t like the idea. Where will I put my tea or juice? I know not on my nightstand, because there’s no space. If I sit properly the plate is too far. There is a high risk of crumbs and spills on my clean bedsheets. I also don’t eat as soon as I wake up. I have to wash my face, use the restroom, brush my teeth, change out of my pajamas. It’s a logistical nightmare.

Just prepare the breakfast. I’ll come to the kitchen.

  5. I LOVE breakfast in bed… in hotels.

I don’t want food with crumbs anywhere near my bed otherwise 🥲

  6. It’s just eating breakfast in bed? Neither sweet nor romantic?

Or did you mean to ask about another person making and serving you breakfast in bed?

  7. I’ve never had it (except as a child or when ill) and wouldn’t want it – no thanks to crumbs and/or food spills in bed.

  8. I don’t know why anyone would do that. Neither comfortable nor relaxed (I would be constantly afraid to spill something).

  9. Overrated. Too much focus on not spilling coffe or juice, or worry about spreading bread crumbs like I was manifesting Hansel and Gretel.

  10. No you are going to have to bring it all back to the kitchen anyway. So just have it at the table, made that would be nice. Or if I’m outside bring it out.

  11. Not for me. When I wake up, I have to pee like crazy. Once I’m in the bathroom, I want my shower. Once I’ve showered, I want my morning coffee. I usually don’t eat breakfast until 2-3 hours after I’ve gotten out of bed.

  12. I didn’t think so many people would hate on this, I love it! If someone brought me breakfast in bed I might cry.

  13. Yes please but only if he is joining me while we both eat and watch tv. And he always cleans up after himself so that means after we are done watching tv and eating we can just get up and get on with the rest of our day

  14. If it was brought to me on one of those fancy little trays with the legs and I’d had a chance to wake up a bit then yeah that would be fun.

  15. don’t like it. besides, if it includes bread, drop some crumbs and you’ll never see the end of it

  16. Nope, not comfortable or conducive to good digestion and you either spill or get crumbs in the bed or both.

  17. It’s a cute idea in theory, but not something I’d want. I usually don’t even eat breakfast, I’m not typically hungry until about 4 hours after waking up. And I like eating at the kitchen table when I can.

A romantic setup at the table would be very nice though. Especially with candles.

  18. Only if we’re eating together. It’s sweet and thoughtful, so I’d appreciate it.

  19. I love it! But historically it’s just Dunkin coffee and a breakfast sandwich. Not anything crazy lol

  20. Better in theory than practice.

In theory: cosy, comfortable, eating without getting up, what’s not to love.

In practice: uncomfortable, eating without showering/brushing teeth feels a bit gross, messy.

Would much rather get up, get ready, and then eat a lovely breakfast comfortably.

The exception is if I’m ill and in bed anyway, or exhausted – I’ve eaten breakfast in bed on arrival from very long travels so I could go to sleep immediately after. That was nice, but that was so sleep could follow, not after waking.

  21. It’s lovely in theory, but, in my experience, it’s more inconvenient and bothersome to try to deal with than it is romantic 99.9% of the time. Food and beverage spills in the bed are not desirable, my bed is not set up for easy dining, and it’s generally more about the person doing it as a display rather than thoughtful to me. Waking up to coffee made and breakfast ready is amazing, but I’d rather not have those things in my bed. (Exception: if I’m too ill or injured to get out of bed, then it would be an appreciated thoughtful gesture)

  22. I work in a hospital where everyone gets “breakfast in bed” and then the patients need to be cleaned up and the sheets changed and the floors mopped and… no. No, thank you. I’ll pass.

  23. Eh, it’s ok. But coffee or tea brought to me in bed, all snuggly with a warm cup? Oh hell yes!

  24. I get up and do stuff for hours before breakfast. So I’d need to stay in bed until I’m ready for food? Ugh, no, total waste of time.

  25. Please do not do anything that increases the likelihood that crumbs will end up in my bed.

    Please god no.

  26. Love the idea of having breakfast made for me, hate eating while not sitting up completely straight.

  27. I don’t like it. Bed is not a place to take meals unless I can’t get up for some reason. Besides, what is whoever brought it to me doing, sitting around watching me eat and thinking about how romantic they are? I’ll pass.

  28. I actually don’t like it. I don’t want to eat a full breakfast the second I wake up.

And the awkward manoeuvring of trays and pillows and crouching over to eat so you don’t spill things.
