tl;dr:
My friend broke up with her boyfriend due to a gut feeling he wasn’t “the one.” I’m wondering if those types of feelings ever change, or if people usually end up being right about them.
I (26F) was talking with a friend who just broke up with her boyfriend. She said she didn’t have a specific reason—no cheating, no fighting—but just had this overwhelming gut feeling that he isn’t “the one.” She said she felt it in her bones.
It got me thinking:
Can gut feelings like that ever change? Have any of you ever had a moment where you felt certain someone wasn’t your forever person… and then ended up being wrong? Or is that kind of instinct usually spot on?
I’m not in this situation myself, but I’m curious how often people trust their gut—and whether they regret it later or not.
