How do you handle it when you have a group over for a sit down dinner at someone's house—maybe 8 or 10 people. And everyone is through. But there is one person who slowly eats his food in such a way he is only barely halfway through with his meal, and everyone is completely finished and had dessert. Then, more often than not, he gets up and serves himself more. I mean everyone is just sitting there talking and he is just slow. Is it rude for the host to get up and retire to a different room and others can follow, or should we all just sit there and wait?
