It's not a photo-rating app. I don't need you to swipe right on me just because you like my photos, completely ignoring the fact that we have totally different goals on the app.
They be swiping right and texting for days, then suddenly it's revealed we're not actually a match because of something I CLEARLY said in my profile and they didn't, but "I was just curious if such a beautiful woman would swipe right on me."
Are you a child?? Have you no respect for other people's time?
Then there's the 90% of likes from men who don't read profiles at all. They be looking for a wife and the mother of their children but not checking anything in the profile as long as the woman is beautiful. I don't want children, I say so openly, yet 90% of likes are from men who want kids and I have to sift through hundreds of those useless likes every time.
It's ironic that men are forced to buy premium in order to get any likes at all, while women are forced to buy it to filter out all the manchildren who don't understand the process of MATCHING.
And then there's the group that doesn't fill out any details but writes somewhere in a prompt "Looking for my forever person, my soulmate, my future wife." Do they expect a woman to take them seriously as a partner/father of her children if they can't spend 5 minutes filling out some actual info about themselves? Don't they get that it saves a ton of time or are women supposed to put in double effort and send a fucking questionnaire to see if they're even a match?
Men complain so much about not getting likes, but if I have to scroll through another 6 photos where the face is not visible, trying to decipher what they look like, or pictures of their dogs, sunsets, food, cars, bikes, boats, YES, I will swipe left because if someone is too dumb to upload good photos, we are obviously not a match.
And no one wants your group photos! We're not playing detectives here! People have 2 seconds to decide if they find you attractive or not, and you put 5 photos of groups and a photo of a pizza. Ugh. (Edit: I meant in general here, people are often busy and swiping quickly. Some of us actually like reading all the prompts and checking out all the photos, but not if it's a frustrating process.)
Sorry about the rant, I'm just so tired of wasting my time, yet I don't want to give up.
