In what area or areas of life, if any, do you feel “seen”?

Where in life do you feel truly seen—not for what you do, but for who you are? Who makes you feel that way, and how?

My community of friends. They truly make me feel like a person, which hasn’t always been a given.
I love the people I have in my life now.
I was just talking about this. I feel seen in work, my friendships, my family, and my current education. I’m seen in an incredibly positive light in all of those spaces to the point where it gives me some level of imposter syndrome in how well I’m doing with ease. It makes the one space where I’m not “seen”/valued/ or cared for so much worse
At work. At home as a mom.
At work, people see me as very knowledgeable and capable. Competant. I’m humble, though. I don’t brag about what I know, but people find out I have a depth of knowledge about something, and my new team at work is vocal about recognizing me for it. Makes me feel seen.
My kids at home tell me that they and their friends all love me and that I’m “the best mom” in their friend group. I mention this to no other moms i know. I have an open door policy- meaning they can come talk to me about anything at all without judgement – and I cook for them, and I don’t hover over them when they come to my home. It makes me feel seen because i grew up neglected pretty bad and always wanted to do better by my kids. Now that they are teens/adults, I definitely see that I am doing much better than I ever had as a kid.
Except in a spiritual sense, I don’t feel seen anywhere else. No one knows the true me or even tries to. It’s always what I can do for them or be for them, but not for me as such even if I had nothing to offer. So in a spiritual sense, I feel seen only by a Higher Power and I have made my peace with it, for this lifetime.
I dont really allow my entire self to be seen by anyone. But I feel most seen currently at the gym, and dance class. A group of friends who all love moving their bodies, and we all encourage each other, and understand each others passion.
Also at dancing, there’s a whole bunch of people who get just as excited as I do about rhinestones.
