Ehm, I'm not sure how to phrase without getting akward, but I promisse I'll try: as a man, is opening your partners' bra something that gets easier with experience or is it an eternal obstacle?

To add a bit of context, I was with this guy, and he seemed to be very "experienced", for the lack of a better word, with making out. But when things heated, he could not take off my bra for his life, and later he asked me to show him how it worked and in my head I was like "Wait, you don't know?".

So, yeah. How does it work? Would a guy who's been with many women already know it and do it easily or is it something that just doesn't get better no matter how many times you do it?

I am so, SO sorry if this is not the sub for this, and I'm begging you to please kindly direct me to the correct one if that's the case.🥲 It's just… A question I would like to ask men as a clueless girl.

  3. Push clasps into body, pinch, push fingers together (sometimes gotta roll your finger, they can be little bastards from time to time)

  5. Depends on the bra. Some are a simple pinch slide boom. Some are like getting in Fort Knox.

  7. Honestly if it a normal hook bra especially if its on the backstrap no issues. If it a front one sometimes issues if the boobs are a bit to heavy/big and get in the way of my bear paws. But some of those bra’s have clasps or whatever I’ve never seen before than yea i might struggle a bit because its a new technique i need to develop.

    But as with everything in life practice makes perfect.

  8. If you’re face to face, as the guy it’s very easy to use your left hand to undo the clasp. Just the angle, the direction the clasp slides apart makes it super duper easy with the left hand.

    Any other angle or the other hand and suddenly it becomes a struggle.

    But yeah, left handed I can open a bra my partner is wearing in a microsecond.

  9. As long as I know what mechanism the bra uses, it is something I can pretty easily manage without having to see it. I have known how to do it since I was probably 16 or 17?

    Odds are he either isn’t experienced, or the women he has been with take their own bra off.

  11. Sometimes I get lucky and do it with one hand, easy as can be. Other times I have to use both hands and feel a little foolish. On rare occasions she has to help me and I try to forget it happened.

  13. On bras, there’s a seam where the hooks are sewn in and there’s usually a little extra on each strap. Thumb goes under the extra and the index under the other. Pinch (not hard) and that shit falls right off.

    You can always just do it for him which can also be hot.

  15. It’s an eternal obstacle. The moment you master one, she’ll change the type of bra and it will have different snaps. Stay with it though, always worth the effort!

    Work the rungs (amount may vary).

    The last one is a doozy.

    *Advice: Make the hand gesture like someone owes you money (thumb going over middle and index finger), now do that in reverse to get the bra undone.

  21. I have a flawless technique. I fumble around her back for a few seconds. Not too short, just the right amount of time for her to say ‘I’ll just do it myself’.

  24. I learned how to do it one handed during college and it hasn’t failed me yet on normal bras. Some bras are made like you’re solving the Davinci code in braille, however.

  25. The only time I ever ran into a problem was when they started making ones that hooked in the front. Or at least when I began to encounter them. Can’t unhook it in the back if the hook is in the front, and how the hell is one supposed to know that ahead of time

    My fiancée wears a three-clip, and I can do that one handed now.

    Edit: when I was single and into hookups, the ladies would usually do it themselves and there’s lots of different styles; too many to get used to if you don’t do it regularly.

  29. When i was about 15 it became a challenge for me and the boys.
    Luckily for us our female friends was onboard and we really made it a sport.

    Now only the ones with 4 hooks can challenge me💪

  30. Like most things, it gets easier with experience and training. When I was 18 I could easily open a bra with 3 fingers from the outside of the top.

    Hook the bra at the hook and eye clasp with your index finger and pull the bra 1-2 inches off her back. Then use your thumb and middle finger to squeeze the clasp together until they unhook.

    I have never closed a bra, though. That goes against everything I believe in and stands for.
