I had a guy over my apartment for the first time yesterday. I didn't clean and I was expressing anxiety over the way the place looked. I said that it looks horrible. He said "I don't judge, so if you feel that if it looks horrible, that's on you."
I don't know why he couldn't have said "It's not that bad" or something? That comment just felt really harsh.
