  1. 28ºC, sun and wind levels between 1 and 2 meters per second. What a day for another bike ride!

I soaked some dried green peas overnight, and am now adding to the indoor temperature by boiling them for 2 or 3 hours – what a smart move. But I felt like having some pea soup as a part of using some of the oldest products in my ‘just in case’ pantry, and probably won’t regret once it’s done. This soup will use a 500 gram bag of peas and a tin of ham, with the latter being the product past its best before date.

  2. Aachen cathedral is really beautiful, very unusual style for Western Europe, not harmonious outside but the decoration inside is stunning.

It’s a nice city, bigger and livelier than I expected.A lot of tourists too.

Today I’m going to check out the spa and probably go and eat some chocolate too… they have a Lindt factory here with a factory store, where they sell the chocolate for cheap prices 😉 Though it’s hot for eating chocolate.

DB was not good yesterday,I hope things are going to improve!

  3. I watched Flow yesterday and I loved it, as expected. I thought it would be a bit Ghibli-like but it wasn’t, really. Anyone watched it and wants to gush with me?

Off to Berlin today for a garden party. I don’t know any of the people who’ll attend, or the host, but it’s also nice to get to know new people.

I also finished the short story I was agonising over. I have one to write with a deadline in one month but hopefully it’ll be easy. Then I can keep on working on my detective book. This was so difficult! Maybe 5000 words took me like six months to write, on and off.
