Finland’s biggest news paper has a science section for children. They regularly publish children’s questions and a scientist’s answer.
A while ago, a child had asked how many mosquitos would it take to suck a 30 kg child completely dry.
In the spirit of the section, a scientist took this question very professionally and estimated it would theoretically need around 450 000 mosquitos to, shall we say, finish the job, but that in practise it would be impossible, even going into detail about how you’d die before losing all your blood.
So, now I know that.
Talked to a guy in his 20s today who claimed to be a horror movie aficionado but had never heard of Alfred Hitchcock.

So, don’t ask me how I came across this one… [I found this video of the Mister Universe 2025 candidate from France](https://www.reddit.com/r/LadyBoners/comments/1l469wz/alexandre_jacquier_representing_france_at_mister/). I mean he is a beautiful man, and I wish him all the luck and all but… My god this video is just so over the top hilarious (which I think was kind of his aim). It’s like an alien gathered a bunch of romance books and pieced together information about what an ideal French man looks like. All that horseback riding on the beach, chopping wood (and then hitting it with a hammer? The editing is a bit weird), petting a baby goat while looking at the camera… and then he hops on a moving tractor and eats a croissant while holding a baguette 🤣 Okay I spoilered too much. It’s really funny.
Has anyone watched Fleabag? It seems cool and husband is going on a week-long work trip… I don’t really watch series, but this one’s short enough. I am just not really sure what it’s about (even after reading).
