Didnt. Ended in divorce
My ex and I waited. We didn’t ease sex into the relationship. Sex was one of the big reasons we are divorced now.
This is what I learned:
Read sex books together. Not sexy novels (although that could be fun) but books about how to have better sex. She Cums First is really good.
Talk openly and without judgement about fantasies.
Learn what turns you on by touching yourself so you can communicate better with your partner about how to touch you.
Treat sex as a serious glue in your relationship, not like just something you do. Then if you have sex 1/month 1/6 months or 7/week you are on the same page about what needs it is meeting.
We waited a year. We started with the lighter. Stuff, like first, second, and third bases. Always making sure we were comfortable with that before moving on to the next thing. This is over the course of months.
Now 10 years later and we have a great relationship, both emotionally and physically. I’m glad we eased into it and made sure we were with each other for our personality instead of physical touch.
