Today I’m doing some ‘cemetery tourism’.
Finally doing the extended tour of Highgate Cemetery in London, which includes the parts that are usually closed to the public.
Do you ever visit graveyards or cemeteries when you visit a new city or country?
In cities that have a name that’s also a first name, or have a first name in it, I wonder if people born there are less likely to be given that name compared to other cities with similar demographics? In Sofia in Bulgaria, are there less Sofias born there than in Varna for example? Or how about the Gary situation in Gary Indiana? In Finland there is Kristiinankaupunki, Kristiina’s Town, are kids being named Kristiina there as much?
