  1. 😞 I had a cake disaster yesterday.

    I wanted to try out the zebra cake recipe I had open in a tab since ages. First I saw, unfortunately only after starting, that my regular Springform pan had some coating peeling off it, so I didn’t want to risk it and decided to use the Bundt pan instead. I hate those so much, but I had nothing else 😞 of course, the cake stuck because those things are just made to bake the cake in, not get the cake out again. Also because it’s so shapeless you can also not run a knife around it so easily.

    Google said I should immerse the pan in hot water for a bit to expand the metal, and then tap it. I did and I did and… Half of the cake dropped out and I had to scrape the other half off the form. Now I have a broken cake which also looks nothing like a zebra.

    I need a new cake form.
