I don't know if it's common in other countries but all the cars I've seen in my country most if not all of them are families with many children, or at least that's what I've learned I may be wrong.

  1. In Germany, you get red registration plates for transition or test driving of cars.

  2. Yes here in Belgium we have white plates with red letters and numbers.
    Most of them with this template 2-XXX-999

  3. There are “trade plates” – number plates issued to delivery drivers transferring cars between showrooms. They’re hung over the car’s “real” plate, if it has one, and then the delivery driver takes them with him. Delivery drivers often then show them while hitchhiking back , to show they’re legit

  4. Ireland doesn’t have red number plates, at least not that I’ve ever noticed.

    In Cyprus hire cars have red number plates (ordinary cars have white, taxis are yellow)

  5. I have seen a license plate beginning with the letter B and followed by a few digits all in red on a white background once. I don’t know what it means.

  6. Switzerland, plates for bike rack – red background, black letters;
    France, temporary use/export – red background, white letters;
    Poland, temporary use – white background, red letters

  7. I’ve never seen an estonian licence plate in anything other than black. Apart from military vehicles that have white letters on black background.

  8. In Italy the license plates of law enforcement and firefighters have some red letters!

  9. All normal number plates are white but the ones on the cars belonging to diplomats are red. They can be seen quite often in the capital.

  10. Rental car plates have a red background in Cyprus and some of the older ones have four letters instead of 3 and start with a Z.
    Additionally the temporary plates have a different format and have red lettering.

    In Romania the temporary plates have red lettering and are a slightly different format.

  11. Currently in Italy only special vehicles like roadwork machines have plates with red letters and numbers on yellow background. Government and military plates have red entity id and black serial on white. Everything else is black on white.
