Does your country have school sports competitions between different schools especially in high school or secondary school?

Especially football all over Europe; rugby in the UK, Ireland, France and Italy; cricket in the UK; and ice hockey in Northern Europe. Or are club compeitions for teenagers taken more seriously? Do most athletes in your country get recruited from schools or clubs in your country?
