I’m reading an article about how much the ‘white sliced loaf’ has fallen out of favour in the UK.
Apparently a combination of many people buying and eating less bread in general, the bad reputation this type has (it’s generally cheap but low quality, though prices have also risen, like wheat prices everywhere) and the fact that those with enough money prefer to buy sourdough or other types of artisanal bread.
Do you ever buy presliced white bread, to make sandwiches or whatever?
