  1. My husband got the job he was coveting! He is very happy and so am I, of course. Between the job that he has now, which has a ton of insecurity and in a sector he doesn’t want to be in anymore, and a job that he really wants to do in a company he’s worked for before and loved, I hope it’ll make a big positive difference.

I wish the same for everyone who’s looking for a job at the moment. It’s not easy somehow.

They’re giving away massive wooden boxes at work. I can’t transport them, put them anywhere and have no use for them, but I want one.

  2. Yesterday evening, I was at a rally for Ukraine in Vienna. Got myself a Ukrainian flag. Afterwards, my friend and I went to a coffeehouse – one of the waiters saw the flag and asked us about. Ended up in an imprompto conversation about the horrors of war with the waiter.

We went home 1-2 hours later, just the two of us by ourselves, chatting. While we were walking through the streets towards the next subway entrance, we went past a park which lay in semi- pitch blackness. Suddenly, out of nowhere in the distance in the dark park, what must have been a whole group loudly and enthusiasticly shouted *Slava Ukraini!!* at us.

Took me by surprise, haha, but was super wholesome. (I shouted back, hopefully my voice carried.) Shoutout to them.

On the train home, I had some logistical difficulties with wrangling the flag between the seats, and joked with an amused woman a few seats away about it.

I’m not used to so much interactions with random strangers! Normally no one here talks to anyone, lol. Was kinda wild, but in a good way. Haven’t felt so connected to my city in a while.
