Hello everybody
This week i was "stranded" in france because my motorcycle broke.
My Insurance somehow managed to get me a hotel half a hour away from my motorcycle. I asked the reception if they can call me a taxi, because i dont understand much french.
They all refused, because of "petite distance" if i understood it correctly. The cook of the hotel offered me to drive me. It was a distance of 41km, ca 33min to drive.
Edit: the companies refused, the receptionist tried 3 taxi services.
I gave him 50Euro as a "Thank you", he took it and explained that a "Taxi would have cost 100Euro at least, but i appreciate it".
So my Question is: was it cheap of me? Should i have give him more or was it a try to get more Money because he thought a swiss has more money?
Why 50Euro? I googled what somehow the average salary/hour is doubled it and gave something extra for the car/gas.
