    The boss’s daughter just had a baby,so the boss is away from the department all week… happy days!

  2. My stress levels have been extremely high since that shitty apartment incident. It’s dropped off somewhat, but my tablet being broken right now isn’t helping. Not sure if it can be fixed…

  3. [A bit of a bleak take on yesterday’s prompt binoculars](https://www.deviantart.com/tereyaglikedi/art/Day-5-Binoculars-1106574546). Surprisingly I got a couple of nice comments for it, which is a rare treat. 

    I was talking about the book by Lermontov, A Hero of our Time, translated by Nabokov. Man, Nabokov is such an ass that every other “translator’s footnote” is not a translator’s note but a jab at Lermontov’s writing. I have never seen translator’s notes being used to throw shade at the original work before. How did it even pass the editor? Also, Nabokov likes to use the word “casual” (like casual writing style) as an insult. So weird. 

    It’s very foggy this morning and I feel super stiff. I guess some stretching is necessary.
