I read yesterday that Dikembe Mutombo passed away. I don’t know how widely known he is, but he was a very famous basketball player when I was a kid, and a very prominent humanitarian as well. He died so young, what a shame.
It’s a horrid, rainy morning and I have so much to do outside. Seriously, autumn is so romanticized. There’s nothing nice about weather becoming cold and rainy and days getting shorter. People who think there is probably sit by their fireplace with a glass of mulled wine all day.
But October means Inktober (and Kinktober and Spooktober and and seriously there are so many events right now). I will maybe post stuff that I make here. Looking forward to it.
Apparently the recent hurricane affected people in central Kentucky too which is bizarre because it must be like 10-12 hours of driving to the place of landfall. The wind and rain didn’t feel intense enough to fell trees and cut off power.
