My partner needs some extensive periodontist work to help fix receding gums: "pocket reduction and regeneration." She's had her exam and x-rays, and has been quoted around $7k Canadian, no benefit coverage. I figured, for that amount, she could probably make a vacation out of it; Interpol is touring Germany, and dental costs seem pretty cheap over there in comparison, she'd save money even after flight tickets and hotel+food costs. Is this a thing, can we just find a dentist, book a surgery, and go ahead with it? Or is it more complicated than I think
