There have been times where I've been watching series, or movies from other countries where the subtitles dropped an explanation about what was just said. It occurred to me recently, that I didn't know what kind of things would need explanations going the other way. Are there things from the us that require explanations in the subtitles?, What kind of things trigger this, and why?
