Londoners, I don't know where I heard it, but I have it in my head that when the Shard was built it was very controversial and no one liked it initially. Now it's one of the most icon parts of the London skyline. Was it really so controversial when it was built? Is it still? And is it true that it was colloquially referred to as "The Shart"?
