This question is primarily directed at Italians, but I’m also curious how other Europeans would define Italian culture. (I’m Dutch btw)
For me, Italy is synonymous with the architecture of Ancient Rome, a spectacular design tradition, passionate people and language to match, a tradition of dodgy political leaders, literally everyone looking way too fashionable all the time, and most important of all, food. Do Italians consider food to be the most important element of their national culture, or is it just a stereotype?

Thanks for your answers!
