I work at a university in the Netherlands. My employer provides me with (on loan) a laptop and, because I work in communications, a cellphone. There's a supply closet with office stuff like ballpoint pens, basic notebooks, binders, things like that. We have a little kitchen with a (mediocre) coffee machine, electric kettle and tea bags. I guess "decent, but nothing fancy" is applicable to the whole situation. If you want something fancier like a good cappuccino or a fancy notebook or something, you just buy it yourself.
I'm curious: what sort of things does your employer provide for you, and what do you have to buy/pay yourself?
