Whenever the topic of tipping comes up, people who are not from the US or Canada mention that in their countries, waiters and other service staff are paid a "living wage" and therefore do not rely as much on tips. I'm aware that differences in cost of living, social services, and personal opinion affect what constitutes a living wage, but I'm curious to hear how much people are actually making.
