I'm a physician in the USA, and I've noticed that respect for physicians in general seem to have decreased. Partially it may be our fault; the generation above did stereotypically have quite the god complex but unfortunately now there seems to be a wave of anti-intellectualism and growing drive to "Google" one's own symptoms and try to strong arm physicians into doing unnecessary procedures or evaluations or else be threatened with a lawsuit. I do feel like my generation is trying to fix the previous generation's problems.
