I live in an area of the US where pleasure boating as well as commercial maritime business is massive. Almost everyone has or knows somebody with a boat. Kayaking, fishing, paddleboarding, etc. are also significant leisure activities.

Do you have a boat or do much recreation out on the water? It seems a much more common thing in the US, but I am very likely wrong.
