Is littering common in your country? From immaculate to filthy, how clean are the streets, roads and highways?

Here in the US, I find it disgusting how much people litter. City streets are generally filthy and there is even tons of trash on the sides of the highways. I don’t understand why so many Americans treat the world like it’s their landfill.
