Hello 🙂 I am from the US, and I suffer from multiple chronic health conditions. Despite the fact that I have relatively good (EXPENSIVE) health insurance, the quality of the care I receive is very poor. Wait times for an appointment with my primary care doctor are always 2-3 months out, and a trip to urgent care costs about $5k-15k depending on the circumstances. The wait times for urgent care and the emergency room are nearly always 3+ hours. I have been misdiagnosed and mistreated by various specialists, doctors, and physical therapists. My most recent emergency hospital visit (3 nights) cost about $65k with insurance 🙃 I had to stop taking one of my medications because it was no longer covered by my insurance and was going to cost about $200 a month. My colonoscopy prep kit cost $60 with insurance. I could go on.

That said, I am very curious about the healthcare systems in Europe. How is it for someone with chronic illnesses? If you’ve lived in the US and Europe, which system was better in terms of cost and quality of care?
