Since norteños where heavily inspired by central europe it be nice to know your opinion about it.

  1. I think you’re being optimistic in assuming anyone on a European sub would know what you’re talking about.

I live in LA so I hear it blasted out of car radios/shops a lot, but tbh I can’t really tell the difference between different Mexican music genres and to me it just sounds like stereotypical Mexican music. I don’t get any particularly Central European vibe from it

  2. never heard of that, need google to understand what the topic is about….i guess that answers your question

  3. First I was like nah, sounds like typical “soap opera” music. But more I listened to various songs, I could definitely hear Central European inspiration there.

In Slovakia we call this style of music Ľudovky and they always play them in villages/small towns during events or before village announcements.

  4. I have no idea what that music is. So I have no opinion about this. I don’t think many people know this people here in The Netherlands.

  5. I like some Mexican music, for instancea Flaco Jimenez and Alberto Beltran, so if that’s norteño, then yeah, I guess I like norteño.

Edit: Beltran isn’t even Mexican lol
