I am referring to strictly childcare costs like : daycare, private afterschool, nanny. Not referring to all the costs related to raising children.

For us in Romania in the cities is pretty bad for most us. Public daycare has approval and waiting lists, private daycare are expensive around minimum wage, and a nanny makes double the minimum wage almost but are rare.

Nannies are harder to find because most of our people went abroad to take care of elderly people or children. I was discussing with colleagues from US and the situation was different for them were they have a lot of professional nannies, college students who would do part time this, immigrants. Compared to minimum wage it was not that bad.

Is kindoff infuriating because politicians always speak about fertility rate but don't invest in making new daycares or afterschool.
