I was watching a video from someone in the UK talking about how the Americans he works with type much faster than him. He then showed that he only types with 2-3 fingers at a time. The comments had some Americans talking about how we learn how to type in school around the age of 12. In these classes, we’re actually not allowed to look at the keyboard at all, and the teacher would put covers over the keys to make us memorize the layout. The creator of the video seemed very surprised that we had classes like these. Are typing classes common in Europe, and if not, how fast do you guys type?
