Apparently in areas of Texas hit by the recent hurricane, people are using the Whataburger app (a Texas fast food chain) to map local power outages.
That might be the most American thing to have ever happened.
Today I learned that there’s a law from 1734 still in effect that obliges all house owners to plant and take care of a certain amount of hops, 200 to be precise.
I’m not aware of too many obsolete or forgotten laws like this in Finland, and it’s a funny thought that practically all house owners are breaking the law!
