When I go on cooking subreddits, I am often surprised when people talk about sandwiches that they usually mention plain turkey or grilled cheese. But where I live (Boston) gourmet sandwich shops are absolutely everywhere, and they have a lot of better options. For instance, one popular chain has a sandwich with a adobo chicken, guacamole, and jicama that is really good. Another place I like has a sandwich with roast sweet potato, goat cheese, pickled onions, arugula, and pesto. And there are a whole slew of banh mi places on seemingly every corner.
