My wife and I had been together for five years and married three of those years while we were engaged I found out that she had been cheating on me virtually, but I still wanted to try and make it work. I did everything I could to try and keep her happy and then we got married, and it was one of the, best and worst days of our life, as we had continued on a relationship which in my mind was going great a couple years later I found out that she had cheated again, this time it was physically, I still tried to forgive her and see if we could move past it, but apparently I was taking too long because about a year or two down the road she told me that she wanted to get a divorce because I cannot move past it and that there were still signs that I was on it before she brought up the divorce thing she had made another new guy friend that she used to be friends with a long time ago, she would spend hours on the phone with him and it made me very uncomfortable because she would ignore me and FaceTime with him I expressed to her how uncomfortable this made me, and she said that I needed to move on from the past and not worry about it because nothing was going to happen and that she loved me, after a couple of weeks of me trying to be fine with her talking to this new guy I got a text from her saying that we needed to talk about our relationship, that was when she sprung the you obviously still aren’t past everything in the past so I want to get a divorce, and she kept saying that it was my fault that we were getting a divorce because I cannot get over the fact that she had cheated on me years ago and I was worried that she was doing it again, so to terms with the fact that we were getting a divorce, we decided to start separating our lives, we own a car together, and we rent a house, so I went through and split up the bills in half and told her that she needed to pay me half of the bills, because she had been bringing the guy that she had been talking to over to the house while I was not there to “hang out “I told her that I was not paying his bills as well because he was using my food and using my equipment and making messes, she said that she was unable to pay her half of the bills because she does not have a great job that pays well, and I told her that I would give her the car and I would take over the bills for the house, including rent, water, electric, etc., and she said that I was an asshole because I was kicking her out and she had nowhere to go so she decided to move in with her parents, which was the original plan, I found out that she ended up moving in with the guy that she told me not to worry about, am I in the wrong? Should I have let her stay or did I make the right decision?
