I want to start this off with saying we weren’t trying to hide it, her bus started arriving late so she’d be late 10 to 20 minutes to class so I started giving her rides. In the afternoon, we both don’t have a 7th period class so I drop her off early so she doesnt have to wait an hour for the bus. Her dad knows I take her home most days in the afternoon but we realized we never told him about in the morning. This morning she missed the bus and he threatened to take her computer and phone if she misses the bus again (crazy thing is he always onto her about grades and homework. She spends most of her days doing all the work she gets from school from 3:30pm to 10:30 pm. She needs the computer to be able to finish it. It’s only going to make her grade drop and make her fail). It was the first time it was on time in a while so she wasn’t fully ready. He let her ride with me because he was at work but we realized that we never told him about it before because we didn’t think it would have been a huge problem. I want to know the best way to go about this. I initially said we should just tell him we did it before and forgot to mention it which was the truth. Another friend told us that we shouldn’t say anything because he’ll likely twist it and think we hid it and that we should tell him in the future when I give her a ride. I don’t know the best course of action on not getting her grounded or forbidding him from seeing me.
